Application

The Durham Powder Diffraction and Rietveld Refinement school will be held from 12-16th April 2026 (Sunday afternoon to Thursday lunchtime).

The cost of the course will be a maximum of £500 for PhD students and university-based PDRAs and £850 for industrial and permanent academic staff. This fee includes registration, 4 nights’ accommodation in en-suite single rooms, all meals, the school gala dinner and all teaching materials.

To apply for a place on the School please complete the form here. The closing deadline for applications was Tuesday 23 December 2026; applications after this time won’t be considered.

Places will be offered by email in early January.

Please don’t send any money until you have been offered a place. Submission of an application form does not guarantee your place on the course. The number of places is limited and in case of over-subscription the organising committee will prioritise applications to achieve a balance of institutions, research groups, scientific disciplines, countries of origin and diversity among delegates.
