Joining the School

1: What do I need to bring? What preparation do I need to do before the course?

A: All information is on the school joining page and will be updated regularly.

2: I need an extra night’s accomodation before or after the school.

A: Contact the Event Durham team, they should be able to arrange this.

Applications

1: I applied to the school when will I hear?

A: We aim to contact people for the 2026 school by 16/1/2026. If additional places become available we will contact people in mid Feburary.

2: There is a problem with my registration or payment, what do I do?

A: If you get an error when trying to pay try using a different browser or different computer. One person found a different browser worked; another person had to use a different computer. After that contact Event Durham for support.

3: Can I book extra accommodation before or after the school?

A: This should be possible. Contact Event Durham (Leanne Pearson [email protected]) and explain that you’ve already registered for the school.

4: Are there funds to help me attend the school?

A: We have given bursaries according to the requests made at registration time. Contact John if you have other questions.

5: I need a visa.

A: If it’s just a regular tourist-type visa it’s easiest for you to handle this yourselves. If you need a letter confirming you have a place on the school let us know.
